Anti-Bullying

We have a number of trained PALs and Anti-bullying Ambassadors in the school.  These pupils have received specific training around identifying bullying, taking disclosures of bullying and safeguarding their peers.  Any pupil can talk to a PAL or Anti-bullying Ambassador about worries they have about themselves, or their peers, at any time.

On the secondary site, PALS lead registration sessions on a weekly basis with Year 7 and 8 forms.  Anti-bullying Ambassadors are available in the Hub Office for drop-in chats every breaktime.

On the primary site, Anti-bullying Ambassadors are available to support peers every breaktime and pupils can also report concerns through the post-box near the staff room.

King Henry VIII 3-19 School defines bullying as:   ‘Bullying can happen between individual people or groups of people.  It is when someone makes repeated and on purpose attempts to hurt or embarrass someone else.  It can involve an unfair balance of power or personalities.’

Our school has robust procedures to raise awareness of, challenge, and prevent bullying. There are a variety of methods to report bullying.

Our Anti-Bullying Lead is:  Mr J Parkinson (Assistant Headteacher)
